Rendering... [2021]

We are born into a world populated with assets innumerable to count. To render this world we load and make into being a file unfathomably large, a burden too heavy for one to handle. To reduce ones render distance is to not to close ones eyes but to save energy, to focus on what is directly within ones reach and proximity and local network. It is also a privilege to limit ones draw distance, to focus narrowly on the direct radius around oneself.

These two images were taken on Monero Ngarigo Country in Tidbillaga (Snowy Mountains) in an ephemeral town known as Perisher in Kosciuszko National Park. These images remind me of a horror game that never released.
